At His Feet Part Two Discipleship Bible Study

Thank you for doing this. It is a great resource.
Anyone have an example of what the day should be filled with? I desire to have Godly children, butan not sure what to do or how to show them. Any ideas?
What if we were to share ideas in the discussion groups...
I try to begin my day with my quiet time before my daughter gets up. When she's waking up, I go in her room and kneel beside her bed to say a short prayer with her for God to bless our day. After breakfast we sit on the couch to read a Bible story in her children's Bible. After the story, we talk about it for a minute or two and then we pray again. (Of course I'm the one doing all the praying while I hope she is listening intently!) In trying to teach her scripture verses, I have a paper on the fridge with the verses she knows with a sticker next to them. I try to teach her a new verse every two weeks or so and review the ones she already knows a few times during the week. I also tried the fruits of the spirit activity that Laurie shared with us last semester. It went better than I thought it would. We started with kindness. Anytime she was showing kindness to me, her brother or her friends, she got a piece of fruit to put on her kindness tree. It got to where she could identify the specific fruit of the spirit in her own behavior as well as pointint it out in others too! These are just some of the things I've tried to implement, but it takes time and patience to fit it into your own pesonal schedule.
